· textual analysis of student magazine, initial ideas

· research target audience, experiment with colour schemes and fonts

· experiment with mode of address

· produce mock front cover and contents page

The Preliminary Task.

The preliminary task is to produce the front page and contents page of a student magazine, featuring a central image, appropriately laid-out text and a masthead. Also to research and evaluate to make sure the magazine cover is appropriate for the target audience.
